The Line Shack Closes

January 17th, 2010 by John Vink

The Line Shack, located at 826 South Winchester Boulevard, has closed down.

The blinds have been closed and neon lights around the windows have not been turned on since December. The front door no longer shows their hours, and a stack of mail is piled up inside the lobby. An attempt to telephone the restaurant results in a recording that the number is no longer in service.

The Line Shack opened in August 2008.

That is so sad… I hadn’t been there for a few months, we attempted to go last night for our Valentine’s Day dinner… I was finally going to try their bananas foster. =( I will miss them greatly.

Bummer!! I just found the card Bud gave me on a flight we shared from the east coast and I loved hearing about his restaurant and his roots from Texas as an Asian man to then open a Texas bbq.
Any current 2016 news, would love to hear.
Would give me a reason to leave Santa Cruz & go to San Jose, which I never do unless traveling.
