Crazy Buffet closes

In the last couple of month, the Crazy Buffet restaurant at 780 S. Winchester Boulevard closed down.

This was one of those all-you-can-eat Chinese food places. Originally, the building was a Marie Callander’s restaurant until around 2005. The Marie Callander logo is still imprinted on one of the front doors.

The 7,800 square foot building is listed at LoopNet, and is for lease at $19,500 per month. It also has another page showing the property for sale at $4,695,000.

    I agree with those who say the sign is racist. However, I assume the sign was created and built by people of the same ethnicity as the person depicted on the sign, so they get the final call on whether it’s racist.
