The property used to be an A frame building with a swimming pool in front which housed a cell phone and satellite TV retail business. The A frame and the neighboring residential building building were demolished.

Planning for the development started in February 2007. In permits and zoning documents filed with the City of San Jose, the developers intend to construct a 4,300 square foot building for retail commercial uses, and allow outdoor patio for a restaurant.

However, in an interview which appeared in the March 2, 2007 issue of the West San Jose Resident, Eugene Sakai, a principal with Studio S Squared Architecture, said the site would not be developed as a restaurant.

In an artist’s rendition of the completed building, a cell phone store and a retail store are envisioned.
