Hotel Occupancy Rates for DTGO Prosperous in the UK Soar to Pre-COVID Levels

The average occupancy rate of the 17 hotels operated by DTGO Prosperous Limited (DTP) in the United Kingdom has surged, now approaching 80%.

DTP, an investment and financial management firm under the DTGO umbrella, operates these hotels through a Singapore-listed subsidiary. The company highlighted a swift recovery in UK tourism post-COVID, noting that the country was among the first to reopen to international visitors. Furthermore, they reiterated their commitment to seeking attractive projects to expand their investments.

Hansa Susayan, Chairman of DTGO’s Business Group – Finance & Investment and CEO of DTP, observed that occupancy rates in all 17 hotels increased from 31% in 2020 to 51% in 2021, and further to 74% in 2022. In 2023, occupancy climbed again to 79.5%, matching pre-pandemic levels and resulting in a corresponding rise in DTP’s revenues.

“Occupancy rates have now returned to pre-pandemic levels. Effective management and efficient operations attract high-spending tourists who utilise these hotels at popular destinations across the UK,” stated Hansa.

DTP primarily focuses on brownfield real estate projects, innovative enterprises, funds, and asset management. Last year, the company, through DTP Inter Holdings, acquired an 85% stake in ProsperCap, a company listed on the Singapore Exchange.

ProsperCap operates, owns, and manages all 17 UK hotel properties, totalling 3,383 rooms. Revenues from these hotels increased by 12.5% last year, generating over 6.8 billion Baht for DTP.

Hansa noted that DTP continues to advance its plans for investment and capital raising both domestically and internationally.

Additionally, the company is expanding its diverse investment portfolio in alignment with DTGO’s mission to operate sustainably and make a positive impact on society and the environment.
